Special Interests: Treating a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, back and neck pain (including pregnancy related), sporting injuries, vestibular conditions, exercise rehab, all ages

Emily is an experienced physiotherapist whose passion is to help people move and feel better. Her interests include treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as back and neck pain, pregnancy related spinal pain, problem solving to find the source of patients symptoms, managing sporting injuries, exercise rehab, vestibular conditions and general mobility issues for people of all ages.

She is a member of the ‘Australian Physiotherapy Association’ (APA) and is a credentialed McKenzie therapist (MDT – Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy), being a member of the ‘McKenzie Institute Australia’ (MIA). This approach is proven to be extremely effective in diagnosing and managing spinal and peripheral pain and mechanical problems. She uses this approach as a “tool on her belt”, incorporating other manual hands on therapy techniques, movement based approaches, individual exercise programs and advice.

Emily has worked extensively in the public health system, including in the Geelong Hospital Emergency Department where she also works at present. Her other work experiences are in private practice; sporting teams – including soccer, football and gymnastics, and varied work in the UK’s NHS.

With her gymnastics background, Emily is also a certified acrobatics teacher and is known as “Miss Em” from Torquay Dance Academy.

She also coaches her three kids’ basketball teams and is a Qualified Surf Lifesaver and Nippers coach at the local Surf Lifesaving Club. On top of this, Emily is a keen runner, keeps up with her flips and handstands, and just loves all sports.
